My son has taken an interest in his baby doll lately. I figure this is good practice for when "Baby Brother" get here in four weeks. I used the following two tutorials to make a diaper and a wipes case for him. They were super easy and fast to make.

Hallway House

I saw this fun idea on Pinterest where you create a house that fits in your hallway and folds away small when not in use. The secret is using tension rods. Here is my version. My son got it for Christmas. I have plans to make some cute embellishments for it someday. My mother in law really helped out on this one with the roof, windows and door. It wouldn't have been nearly as cute if I had done it all on my own. She is an amazing seamstress. I even used it as a prop for a trunk or treat activity. Pumpkin Playdough Mats

We had a crafty play date with some neighbor friends today. I had two crafts for the moms and two for the kids. The moms made potion bottles and a Halloween banner (pictures to come soon) The kids had a foam craft and a play dough craft. Here are a couple of pictures I made of pumpkin play dough mats. I used a pumpkin clipart from Microsoft Office. The kids had a good time making faces. I also had some googly eyes to make play dough monsters. 

A Month in Photos

I saw this fun photo idea on the blog Simple as That that I just had to try. Each month you create a photo collage of that month's happenings. She even gives you a free template to use. Mine were really crowding up the front of my fridge. So far I have seven months worth. I wanted a way to display them without taking up so much room on my refrigerator.  This is what I came up with.

I used an existing frame and cut down a piece of foam board to fit it. I used double sided tape and used the thumbtacks for fun. I didn't want to leave the bottom half of it empty so I printed out some "coming soon" signs for the next few months. Rebecca Cooper from Simple as That is our course much more creative than I am and is putting her's into a book form. I might have to do that too.

Puzzle Bags

I saw a great idea on Pinterest to use lingerie bags to put your kids puzzles in. The post said they found theirs at the Dollar Store. Mine didn't have any so I checked Walmart. They had some for $.97 but they were really long. To solve this problem I cut off the bottom of the bag and then closed it back up with some white seam binding. Now the puzzles fit great.

Color Matching Game for Toddlers

I saw this great idea on Pinterest and knew I had to make one for my little boy. Super easy to make. Supplies are felt, Popsicle sticks (the fat ones), markers and a sewing machine. The picture is pretty self explanatory. I made my felt about 1 1/2 inches wide and 8 inches long. Fold it in half and sew around the edge. Here is a link to my source at  Second Story Window. The Big 2

My little boy turned 2 on April 14th and we decided to do a Curious George theme. I didn't get to do as much for it as I would have liked to because I had a terrible cold and two ear infections that day but here are a few shots of the cupcake toppers I made and the drinks in the wagon.

I saw a very cute tutorial for this on Prudent Baby and decided to make one for my niece's birthday. Of course hers is fancier than mine. It nice because when you are all done playing you just pull the ribbon and close it up into a bag. Easy clean up! Click on the link to see the tutorial.
