Homemade Thin Mints

Made these cookies for a cookie exchange last Saturday. I wish I had taken a picture of them. If you want to see there yummy goodness you will have to visit Poofy Cheeks. These are homemade thin mints. I think they taste just as good as those one cookies! They are super easy and super yummy. I would have taken a picture after the party but they didn't last very long! I plan on making more for this weekend. I will have to try and take a picture of them this time.

Ice Cream Cake

I am throwing a party for my mother-in-law's birthday today. The theme is ice cream and I got this idea for a cake from One Charming Party. Her version is definitely cuter than mine. I do not claim to be a cake decorating professional. But is was fun and hopefully it will taste better than it looks. I hope to have pictures of the party favors and decor up later. (They turned out much better).

Goldfish Pops

This is my attempt at making goldfish pops from the new Wilton Pops! book. I wanted to make them for my son's first birthday party but I think they are a little too finicky to make a bunch of them and have them turn out nice. Oh well.

 This is what they are supposed to look like. I wonder how many they had to make to get this picture. They always make it look so easy in the book.

Cupcakes

I have lately joined in on the cupcake craze. I have bought all the books, watch Cupcake Wars on tv and have made some fun cupcakes.  My friend started me on it with the book Hello Cupcake and it has been a ton of fun ever since. Here are a few of my creations so far.

Soda Sampler

I first saw the idea for a rootbeer sampler on Oh Happy Day! and I have since seen them on a lot of different blogs. I decided to make one for my hubby for Christmas. My version is a little smaller than most of the other and I used creme coda instead of rootbeer. I even made a little chart to go with it using Photoshop. Merry Christmas Handsome!

Lego Pops

I found a cute website with the idea for these marshmallow Lego pops. I made some for my nephew's birthday. Then a bunch of the adults built a horse stable from the Legos I had as a kid at my mom's house. So much fun sifting through piles of Legos searching for the right piece!
