Vintage Wedding

Here are some pictures from the wedding that I put together for my sister-in-law. The setting was This is the Place State Park at the Brigham Young home. These are some of the details from the reception in June.

Old Fence Slats

I have been posting my projects that I made using my mother-in-law's old fence that blew over in the wind. Here he the lastest one. A sign that was displayed at my sis-in-law's wedding.

Bridal Headpiece

Part of my duties as wedding planner for Melanie was to come up with a headpiece that would go with her dress. Since it was not white we had a hard time. This is what I came up with. I found the flowers and lace on a picture frame at the Quilted Bear and cannibalized it for the head piece. The pictures are taken by Meili Ware.

Wedding Planner

I had the opportunity to be a "wedding planner" for my sister-in-laws wedding in June. The theme was "Celebrate the Future" and "Honor the Past". We went with a vintage feel with a lot of pictures of ancestors. I wish I had more pictures of the decor. I know the official photographers took a lot. But we didn't take many pictures since we were in charge of making sure the reception ran smoothly. I am kind of bummed. Here are the few pictures I did get and a few of the bride and groom. Something Old. Something New.

I helped host a bridal shower for my sister-in-law this past weekend. Our theme was something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue with an emphasis on something old. Here are a few highlights. I created the favors, invites and provided the decor for the dessert table. The desserts were all recipes from Melanie's grandmas.
