40th Birthday

I helped out with a 40th birthday party for my sister in law this weekend. We did a Broadway type theme. My main contributions were a playbill guest book and a marquee letter. I didn't use a specific tutorial for the marquee but there are a million out there. The playbill was set up like a wedding guest book for people to sign as they came in the door. Most of my things were my own versions of things I saw on Pinterest.  For favors we used mini clappers for a "round of applause". Here are a few pictures. I didn't get many because I was busy dealing with kids and setting up. Story of my life now a days.

Here is a link to my Pinterest board to see where I got my inspiration from.   40th Birthday Party

The Big 2

My little boy turned 2 on April 14th and we decided to do a Curious George theme. I didn't get to do as much for it as I would have liked to because I had a terrible cold and two ear infections that day but here are a few shots of the cupcake toppers I made and the drinks in the wagon.

Here are a few more pictures of the birthday party for my sister-in-law Michelle. I still need to get a picture of the birthday girl but here are a few detail shots.

The Big Three-O

My sister-in-law Michelle is turning 30 this weekend. I have been working on some decorations and printables for it. Here is a little sneak peek! The theme is blue and black and slightly over the hill. I will post more pictures of the big day!

Wizard of Oz

For my sis-in-law's birthday I made mini cheesecakes instead of my usual cupcakes. Butterfinger and Oreo. I got the recipe from Bakers Royale. I did a Wizard of Oz theme for the toppers and decor. Nothing super fancy. I found some fun scrapbook paper with an old fashioned look to them. I made one into a plaque to hang on the wall for part of her birthday present. Jana is a Wizard of Oz aficionado. She even got tickets to see Wicked from her mom.

Chuck

My sister-in-law- in a big "Chuck" fan. She has even met Zachary Levi in person. So I decided to do a "Chuck" themed cupcake for her family birthday party. A big part of the show is the Nerd Herd, the computer tech team at the "Buy More"  If you haven't ever watched "Chuck" here is a link to the webpage. I made cupcake toppers and Nerd Herd badges for everyone to wear. Here are my pictures.

65 Sucks

Most of the time you will see this project done for 30th or 40th birthdays. I did 65 for my aunt's party. She was turning 65 and eligible for medicare so her kids had a party for her. Supplies are a block of plant foam from the dollar store, wrapping paper and 65 suckers.

Something Old. Something New.

I helped host a bridal shower for my sister-in-law this past weekend. Our theme was something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue with an emphasis on something old. Here are a few highlights. I created the favors, invites and provided the decor for the dessert table. The desserts were all recipes from Melanie's grandmas. Enjoy and pardon the blurriness of some of the photos. I am still learning how to use my new prime lens
