Old Fence Slats

My mother-in-law had her wood fence replaced a couple of weeks ago and I scavanged some of the slats to make something crafty (with the help of my hubby). I didn't really find a lot online when I did some searching for ideas.

I decided to make some old crates from them and with the help of my dad this is what we came up with. I have 3 different size crates and I also saved some slats to make some old looking signs (to come later). I still have a few left if anyone has any good ideas of what to make with them.
